Welcome to a compilation of the best wins, worst fails, funniest interactions, most unexpected outcomes, and overall greatest moments I've had playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate! And wow was this video a long time coming...

As soon as Smash Ultimate was announced back in 2018 I knew for sure that I would eventually make a high quality compilation for it. I've always been a huge fan of compilations like these (such as Trifroze's SSBB compilations, more on them later) and have wanted to try making my own for several games now. Once the game was released, I immediately started recording clips that I could potentially use. And for a while things were going great. During the first year and few months that the game was out, I recorded tons of amazing clips. But then, as we all know, the pandemic started and among many MANY other things it basically shut down any sort of offline Smash event. And since I was no longer able to consistently get clips I wasn't able to make any sort of progress. From that point on my plans for the compilation were kind of in limbo and I wasn't sure if I'd ever actually finish, but as the years went by I was gradually able to gather clips where ever I could and I slowly made more and more progress. These past few months I was especially motivated to finish and in particular to get the compilation released on this day, May 17th 2023. As I mentioned before I'm a huge fan of the Smash compilations made by Trifroze and company and the biggest compilation they made The Meaning of Brawl (which is probably my favorite Youtube video of all time and a major inspiration for the sort of content I make, if you haven't seen it be sure to check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N15fVFAAcYA) was actually released exactly 10 years ago on May 17th 2013. So since this video is very clearly inspired by it, I wanted to honor the Meaning of Brawl and its legacy by releasing my spiritual successor on the day of its 10 year anniversary. In hindsight, this worked out really well since it forced me to have something finished by a specific date rather than just sitting on these clips forever.

All in all, I really hope you all enjoy :) This is by far the most time and effort I've ever spent on a single video and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Once again, huge thanks to everyone who helped make this video possible! And also just shoutouts to the Smash Bros franchise as a whole. While this video is obviously predominantly a Smash Ultimate compilation, I did throw in a few clips from some of the other games as well. These games mean so much to me and the experiences I've had playing them have shaped much of my life. In some ways this video is the perfect culmination of all my time with the Smash series, a journey that began over 13 years ago.
