I will never own a physical copy of Legend of Hero Tonma, and I'm okay with that. A loose copy of the PC Engine HuCard goes for over $100, and a loose copy of the TurboGrafx-16 version goes for $450. You could buy a normal EverDrive for less than the former, and a Super HD System 3 for less than the latter -- and why wouldn't you? Putting aside the logic of getting more value for spending that kind of money, there's the fact this game is STUPIDLY hard. It spams you with enemies that kill you with a single touch (maybe two). I like this game, I keep coming back to it now and then, but the high bar for success makes it hard to play it for long sessions -- and that can never justify the amount of money it would cost. PS: I know the gameplay freezes for a few seconds during the voiceover, but I don't know why, and the audio kept going so there's nothing I can do about it. My apologies.
