Legend of Heroes SC: Part 96 (The Final Battle)
So, we beat the Professor, what happens now? Weissmann, now incredibly annoyed by our heroes, who was going to originally give the Aureole to the 'Grandmaster', he instead fuses with the Aureole, turning him into a abomination!
Protected by a barrier, he attacks our heroes and soon ready to finish them off, but, Loewe attacks Weissmann, but before he continues to attack, Loewe gets Weissmann to confess a horrible truth!
Weissmann was the conductor of the 100 Days War! The destruction of Hamel, the attack on Liberl, the loss of Estelle's mother, the loss of Joshua's sister, everything was because of Weissmann! That muthafucka's going down! Loewe attacks Weissmann, though it looks like his barrier doesn't have effect... but really? It does, Loewe's sword was given to him by the Grandmaster, as it has the power to cut anything, even barriers! He blows away the barrier and leaves Weissmann's body ready to be attacked, but at a heavy price for such an act as it does huge damage to Loewe's body. Weissmann, we end this!
Outskrits of Evolution indeed, here we go. This boss is known as Angel Weissmann, and he is accompanied by some Octothingy wannabes that when they attack you, they recover health. But they aren't really threatening.
Angel Weissmann's attacks don't hurt nearly as much as Loewe's attacks did, one of his attacks heals a character and confuses them, if you have confusion ward, then he's essentially wasting a turn on you.
He does come accompanied by some high tier spells, but whenever he casts them, his defenses drops, and that's the best time to attack him, I tried Impeding him, but it doesn't seem to work. Oh well, try and do as much damage to him before he lets off a spell regardless. He has 69000HP, but when you put into consideration that he drops his defenses, it really isn't that much, so long as you take the opportunity to attack him before he presents a larger threat. He can also re-summon his allies as well, so try and dispose of the current ones before he starts bringing out more of them.
Once you finish off Angel Weissmann, he gets frustrated and tries to unleash the full power of the Aureole, but it looks like the Aureole has its own plans in store, and becomes a more angelic like figure, and now it's pulling all of the stops. And you know what? So am I. I have waited 5 years, to do this battle, and at long last, you and I come face to face, I am going to enjoy this final battle to the FULLEST extent Weissmann, let this be my most glorious battle I have fought in!
IT BEGINS!!! Let me say, that this theme Merciless Savior is my most favorite Falcom song in the entire franchise. So, hearing this at long last while doing this battle made me orgasm to no end!
Now on to the battle, Weissmann, while he's upgraded, his attacks still don't hurt as much as Loewe's, but don't be completely fooled, he has something else to bring to this battle.
His henchmen while they can attack you for minimal damage, they can also permanently get rid of parts of the battlefield, meaning you better be close to Angel Weissmann before they decide to randomly want to cut off access to your guys getting to him or else you'd have to rely on ranged attacks. The best thing to deal with this problem is just kill them all, you'll need as much terrain to deal with the final boss as much as you can. But, keep in mind he can summon more of those things.
Weissmann's attacks aren't too deadly as I mentioned before, it's some of his... unique attacks that can prove to be very dangerous. Eventually, he'll setup a major buff to his defenses making it really difficult to hit him with physical attacks, but by doing that, he also becomes weak against one element. Luckily for me it was wind, so Schera got free reign over that shit.
Once you get him down to a certain degree of health, he will charge up an attack to unleash his more angelic form, I would like to assume he's going full throttle now. As it increases his speed and attack, and he'll also start using a very dangerous attack.
A strange targetting will be centered on one of your heroes, luckily, you can avoid this attack by moving out of the way, however, if you do get caught by this attack, that character is removed for the rest of the battle. So yeah, MOVE THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY!
Angel Weissmann then will have few other attacks where he'll use his tail or his claw to do damage, but really, they pale in comparison to Loewe's attacks. Really, once you beat Loewe, any challenge afterwards is thrown out the window, remember when he said that none can match him? Not even an Anguis? He was mentioning Weissmann.
Well, as great as this final battle was set up, he definitely isn't the hardest, personally, I found Reverie harder than him. Well, once he's finished, Weissmann seems to be getting removed from the Aureole's body, what happens after this? Find out in the next video as that is the ending.
