13No commentary playthrough of the Build Engine game "Legend of the Seven Paladins", also known as "Rock 'n Shaolin", also known as "搖滾少林系列 七俠五義3D", and also known as "의적 임꺽정". Using BuildGDX, nightmare difficulty.
Meet the first "full" Build Engine game, dated September '94, a whole year before Tekwar and Witchaven where released. This is as close as we can get to archaeology within the Build Engine. m210 has added support for this game in BuildGDX, which was previously thought to have never been released, as "communication" problems with the Asian company got the deal to produce the game to go nowhere. But a demo was released and could be found online for many years, a broken game with sickening head bobbing. More recently, shots of the game's box were found, and the full game too... which was also broken, some levels didn't even have exits apparently.
Do not every try to play this on Nightmare skill level, there's barely enough ammo to get through all the enemies, and the fact that they are *invulnerable* during their attack frames leads to wasting ammo. Keep in mind that at some levels, I had to reload an older save and speedrun through a couple levels to conserve ammo and be able to deal with the upcoming levels. There are also a couple of leveles where it was impossible to open the exit doors, even though I stepped on every sector on the level. (Yes, sometimes you just have to step on a random sector for a door to open up). And there's a lever whose only exit skips two levels ahead. Imho, this game is clearly an Alpha version, and the jerks who created it shoved it into the market anyway when they saw that the deal with 3DR wasn't pulling ahead.
I now, this game is shit and maybe it should debut in shitty game sundays, but this is a completely different kind of beast... the world needs to see this.

Te presento al "primer juego" del motor Build, fechado en Septiembre del 94, un año entero antes de que Tekwar y Witchaven fueran lanzados. Esto es lo más cercano a la arqueología que nos vamos a encontrar dentro del motor Build. m210 ha añadido soporte para este juego en BuildGDX, que se creía que nunca había sido lanzado, debido a "problemas de comunicación" con la empresa asiática que no llevaron el acuerdo para producir el juego a ningún lado. Pero una demo fue lanzada y se pudo encontrar en Interner durante mucho años, un juego roto con un meneo de cabeza que me mareaba incluso a mi. Pero más recientemente, fotos de la caja del juego llegaron a la red, y el juego completo también... que también estaba roto, algunos niveles ni siquiera tenían salida.
Ni siquiera intenteis jugarlo en dificultad Nightmare, apenas hay munición para lidiar con los enemigos, y el hecho de que sean invulnerables durante sus fotogramas de ataque no ayuda nada. Tened en cuenta que en algunos niveles he tenido que cargar un save anterior, y pasarme un par de niveles rollo speedrun para llegar al nivel actual con suficiente armamento para proseguir. También hay un par de niveles cuya salida no se abre a pesar de haber pisado en todos los sectores del nivel (Sí, algunas puertas se abren pisando en un sector aleatorio del nivel). E incluso hay un nivel cuya única salida salta dos niveles más adelante. Si alguien pregunta por mi opinión, este juego está claramente en versión Alpha y los sinvergüenzas que lo hicieron lo sacaron al mercado igualmente al ver que el acuerdo con 3DRealms no iba adelante.
Lo sé, este juego es una mierda y debería estar en los shitty game sundays, pero esto es otro rollo... el mundo necesita verlo.
