I was completing my Legend of Zelda game collection and Ii decided to buy Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii. I actually purchased the game on the Wii U (I did not read that it was NOT a Wii U update), which is a digital version of Skyward Sword without (except for game breaking bug) changes from the original Wii version. Shortly after playing the game, I realized that I hate motion controls more than I thought I did. The dang Master Sword is controlled by the Wiimote and I think that Nintendo did a huge disservice by making motion controls mandatory. I finally got out of Skyloft and learned of a rumor where Skyward Sword may be ported to the Nintendo Switch. Motion controls - I hope not! (Update 2021...they did)

In this episode, I discuss the mandatory motion control sequences in Zelda games and Mario Odyssey. Of course, with the start of a new "Zelda" obsession, the games that I never played before needed to be played. This led to the griping of the Skyward Sword controls. Good Grief! How about the rumored Skyward Sword (Switch) remake? Thankfully, the Twilight Princess (HD) remake uses the GameCube version of the game as a baseline.

Don't think that I only dislike Nintendo's motion controls. I didn't like them on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) either. A gesture control is far better (still unnecessary) than full motion controls. I don't like either.
