Ah yes, now we come to the thoughtful part of the game, wherein we talk about how the game is bad to distract ourselves from... how bad the game is. This is the best plan!

Legendary manages to take "linear corridor shooter" as literally as possible; the levels are primarily composed of pathways no less than five and no more than twenty feet wide. Most games at least give you some semblance of freedom of movement and how you go about getting from one point to another, but here they don't even bother pretending.

Furthermore, most games with a variety of non-human enemies also have the common courtesy to have more than one kind of enemy attack you at a stretch. For serious, I've been decapitating werewolves with a shotgun since I got here, and even though that sounds fun it sort of loses its charm after a while. Of course, this sort of implies that Legendary has a variety of non-human enemies, which it does, if three (and a fourth that's a stronger version of one of them) counts as a variety. Werewolves, nari, firedrakes. That's it. Werewolves do all the heavy lifting around here anyway, for some reason. Maybe England is too damp and rainy for firedrakes.
