LEGO McLaren 720S Speed Champions Unboxing, Speed Build & Review!
Hi LEGO fans! Today's review is the awesome LEGO McLaren 720S from Speed Champions. We're unboxing, speed building and reviewing set number 75880 with 161 pieces including LEGO McLaren designer/racing driver minifigure complete with custom McLaren minifigure torso.
The LEGO McLaren 720S comes in the signature orange color and comes complete with a LEGO design studio, consisting of a desk with lamp, coffee mug, printed 3D miniature version of the McLaren 720S supercar and a stickered drawing board with 720S conceptual design sketch.
After reviewing the packaging for the LEGO 720S, we do the full unboxing in 4K ultra high definition showing all the LEGO elements used to bring McLaren's 720S supercar to life. In reality, the McLaren 720s accelerates 0-60 MPH in 2.9 seconds and can accelerate beyond 100 MPH in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 220 miles per hour powered by a 4.0 liter turbo V8.
The LEGO McLaren build is faithful to the design of the 720S, if a little heavy on stickers to represent some of the sleeker curvature of the car's design. The stickers were tricky to apply, especially the 1x1 stickers for the air intakes at the rear of the LEGO 720S. We do get some very nice rims which compare well to the real thing as shown in side-by-side images within this McLaren LEGO review video.
I was inspired to buy this set because of the life-size LEGO McLaren 720S built by LEGO engineers for the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed, a phenomenal feat of LEGO engineering taking over 20,000 hours to complete. I wasn't disappointed by this set, especially at the reasonable price point. Sure, the headlamps weren't a great recreation but the car as an overall LEGO build was pretty good with the limitations of scale and the LEGO McLaren designer's desk complete with concept design and LEG0 3D printed 720S was a great touch.
I hope you enjoy this 4K ultra high definition LEGO McLaren 720S review of set number 75880 from the LEGO Speed Champions series.
