LEGO Technic building tips
How to make sure that at the end of the build your Technic set will work correctly.
1. Do not rush a build. With a set of this size you will likely make errors.
2. Use plastic containers to separate as many parts as possible. This is particularly important when the bags are not numbered.
3. Use tweezers to apply stickers. It is easier than fingers and the stickers will stick for a very long time.
4. Review a page carefully before going to the next one to make sure that your model looks like the picture in the manual and you did not forget one piece.
5. Leave 1/2 mm or 1/64th of an inch clearance between gears and the adjacent beam or part. If you don't, you will have too much friction and the model may not work well at the end. This is especially true for a big model with lots of gears like the bucket wheel excavator.
