5Having looked into it, it is now common knowledge at the Trouble Planet office that Lemmings has its origins as some manner of an Amiga-exclusive “killer app.” So the initial suspicion that this was actually an “arcade game” per se was incredibly well-founded. Furthermore, Kyle’s base assertion that this fits the description of what we more generally categorize as a “puzzle game”, thereby the expectation that Keith would either have affection or aptitude for it are similarly baseless. (In an irony of semantics.)
Anyhoo, if for some reason you aren’t one of the eight people who know what Amiga is, it’s a kind of computer that tried to compete with Apple but ended up being utterly forgotten except by furry webcomics from 1996. If you are similarly benighted as to the nature of the movie Suspiria, it’s like enough to Home Alone that the simile used to light Nick up should be lauded as clever and valid.
As an aside, I feel like we should get some recognition for never making a “lemmings” joke.
