Leon Redbone - My Walking Stick (1975)
14Time now for a different "Redbone" ... Leon Redbone, another one of my favorite recording artists!
If memory serves me right the very first song I ever heard by him was this one, "My Walking Stick," which I watched him perform on Saturday Night Live in either 1975 or 1976. I was immediately impressed with his talent and authenticity as he performed his vintage material, prompting me to purchase his album, On The Track (1975) so I could listen to this song and many others I would come to enjoy. Thus far I have only done one Leon Redbone video, "Shine On Harvest Moon," in a slideshow format. This is the first motion picture video I have done for one of his songs ... and what better song than this Irving Berlin classic!
Time now to take a stroll down memory lane with walking stick in hand ....
