LESS Online Only Games, PLEASE!
It's ironic how someone with the name Pirate Software is in defense of live-service games that can easily be terminated. There are loads of stupid comments that Pirate Software made that loads of people talked about already, but I feel like this tweet in particular is all that you really need to know.
"If you create an environment that puts heavy restrictions or roadblocks on making online only games then you will get less online only games and more single player or couch co-op games."
Yes, you will get less online-only games, and more single-player or couch co-op games. I don't see how this is a bad thing. We have way too many online-only games these days and less of those single-player or especially couch co-op games, and even the non-online only games like Call of Duty are primarily banking on their multiplayer more than their single player. We haven't even mentioned the live-service online games with gacha and other micro transactions.
Stop Killing Games prevent game companies to just turn off those online-only games and even single-player games to be removed from the store and rendering them totally unplayable. We want games like The Crew to be playable to everyone. God forbid players want to own their games permanently, right? I really don't see how this is an unreasonable demand. It's better for you guys to actually pirate software rather than listening to a guy named Pirate Software.
