In the following showcase, we share lessons learned during the first three development phases of a family program for 5–8-year-old children and their parents/caregivers. The program, which focuses on self-regulation strategies, executive function skills, and early career exposure, includes tablet-based, video, and hands-on content that families engage with at a series of family events, as well as materials that they take with them in between sessions. The lessons presented here include insights about tech accessibility in intergenerational programming, encouraging intra- and inter-family engagement, and scaffolding connected learning. These insights are meaningful to other content and program developers, educators, and researchers.
