We finally reach the end of the Alpha Labs.... only to find our first boss: The Vagary. A creature that's an amalgamation of a woman and a spider, containing the fetus of a Mancubus in it's body. Almost as if inspired by Dungeons and Dragons's Drider, which is a hybrid of a Dark Elf/Drow and a spider. The Vagary has telekinetic capabilities, which is a first for the Doom series. At least, telekinesis of this caliber. She likes to throw things at our hero, as well as rip him to shreds with her claws. She's one tough bitch.
Once she's mowed down with the chaingun and a bit of catching debris to the face, we get to where the Bravo Team is... only to find them already dead! All of that for nothing, huh? Bastards will pay!
