3Let me explain something here. Like in X2, X3 has flags within it that get triggered when you kill 2 bosses. In X2, it was the appearance of the X-Hunters. X3, you get Bit, Byte, and Vile. Bit and Byte will show up randomly, with Bit after 2 bosses, and Byte after 5.
I really wished Bit didn't show up here, because fuck the miniboss here. I literally had to pause the recording and farm up some weapon energy and some extra just so I can finish the damned stage.
Only time I'll need to farm weapon energy. Life gets handled differently in this game.
Japanese name: Screw Masaider
Weapon energy per shot: 1 unit, 3 charged. Drill can cut through certain surfaces (usually indicated with cracks in the wall). Can launch three in a spread-formation. Charged version has X sticking his buster-arm out with a drill at the end.
