Goblins aren't exactly subtle creatures most of the time, and not five steps into a deserted village they announce their intent to ambush us by loudly shouting it. Things escalate from there; we prevail, but it's more than a bit of a slugfest. A later fight against skeletons goes much more smoothly, letting us explore (read: loot) the village in relative peace. It's clear that whatever happened, the worst of it has long since moved on.

That does not, hover, mean there's nothing to find - though looking at the book we dig up, I feel like I'm going to wish we'd overlooked this one. Also our druid's dark urges get more and more problematic. Remember that bad from back at the grove? Let's just say I wouldn't get too attached to her.
