Ohhh boy, this was a pain in the butt art to do, not going to lie. The sketching process of Mettaton himself took 3.5 hours to do. The torso and his left arm I struggled with, and the fact that heavy mechanized characters are not my strong suit. Yes, I can draw his EX form just fine since that is more of a humanized shape and less mech armor to deal with. NEO was a completely different take on Mettaton for me. But that wasn’t the only thing I struggled on; getting the background colors and lighting to compliment him was a pain. Lots of experimenting on what looks fitting for the setting. The end results of the render looks fine to me but the background was indeed an arduous process. But, I am satisfied with the outcome. The background I’m kind of eh about but the render to me looks wonderful, so that kind of helps.

Making an unfortunately easy boss look badass but hey, he looks great overall.
