That's a thing now.
And it's not too bad.
This game is pretty good. It's not great or overly awesome, but it's definately worth 9 Euros.
And it means Space Pirates And Zombies. They had another title, but that wasn't offensive enough according to Valve.
So yea. This game is about a few things, mostly being real-time RTS top-down RPG space ship...
Fine, no genres. It's about blowing up other ships and dying as little as possible. Death is a relative concept in this game, only really happening if your Mothership blows up. And she likes to sit on the couch in the corner, never getting too involved.
Rez = Money.
Used to build, upgrade, bribe, repair. It's your one-stop shop for expanding shit.
Goons = Fuel.
Repairs your ship in battle, usable in trades, and required to have your ships fly in the first place. They're more difficult to get than Rez, so losing a big ship (thus lots of goons) is really bad.
Data = Experience.
A 'level up' comes with 3 points. Level of upgrade = points needed. for next level. Hence, a single level up may not be enough for an upgrade.
Then there's ships.
Three parts:
Shield. Regens quickly, must 'recharge' first if depleted.
Armour: stops directional damage. Adds weight. Apply strategically.
Hull: Ship dependant.
Because most weapons are only good against shields or hulls, equipping your fleet carefully is vital to handeling larger ships. It's suggested to have at least one shield-killer, since shields are quite annoying if given the chance to come back.
Once the shields are down, it's up to armour and hull. Using launcers and pulse weapons is useful, though the best idea is to just fire everything regardless.
One aspect you should never forget is your REACTOR. If it's empty, you're dead. So fire only when you have a clear shot. Make each shot count or be dead in the water.
