I've lived in fear of having to disassemble a MacBook Pro Aluminium display assembly, but it's not so bad really.
This laptop has no display output, so I set out to replace the screen cable. Unfortunately it was a failure, the fault wasn't the cable, so I tried an alternate LCD as well, and that didn't work either.
In this instance, I believe the logic board is at fault. The laptop lives on, as it's DVI port works.

Despite the failure, I've put this video up as the tear-down is still valid for anyone attempting a similar repair.
