A common fault I see, non-charging laptops with broken connectors caused by rough treatment, or occasionally (in this case) simply fatigue.
This video shows how I replace a fly-lead type charger jack on a common Toshiba laptop. Procedure is similar on many other laptops.
Editing notes: This one's a bit rough around the edges. I wanted to do more with it, but whatever.
DISCLAIMER: This video is not intended as a walk through for repairing your laptop. Although it has fewer parts than the average laptop, disassembling an Apple is not for the faint hearted. Always seek professional advice before attempting your own repairs.
