Let’s Play Darkwing Duck demo by Headcannon! We’re Teaching eggmen, rats, and mutated flies to suck gas as we traverse a sewer system with our grappling hook in this Darkwing Duck demo gameplay video!

Darkwing Duck Demo Game Overview:
There hasn’t been a new Darkwing Duck game since the early 1990’ies. In fact, Disney seem to have completely abandoned everyone’s favourite duck superhero. Because of this, Headcannon decided to go ahead and create a fan game - which ended up being this demo 🙂

Headcannon had talks with Capcom, who created the original Darkwing Duck games, who were interested, but were unable to give a firm response. Disney is, as mentioned, completely silent in regards to a game such as this, and so unfortunately Headcannon has halted development on this Darkwing Duck game 🙁

They recently released this demo, however, to show the world. The Darkwing Duck Demo is, as a pixel graphics platformer, a loveletter to the old classic NES game! It features amazing 16 bit pixel graphic animations and sprites and an awesome corresponding soundtrack - even with an 16 bit version of the Darkwing Duck theme song from the TV-show! 🎵

Darkwing Duck was one of my favourite shows as a kid, and it’s sad to see that a game like this will forever go unfinished. The game has its problems, most notably wonky controls, however, the spirit of Darkwing Duck is ever present in the aesthetics and atmosphere of this single level and I would have loved to see it as a fully fledged experience!😃
