Apollo's responses to the various monsters we meet in the game are quite predictable in that he really takes the lore of the game seriously and rarely if ever drops character. I will give credit here that as obnoxious as Apollo is, he clearly doesn't mean harm. But he also doesn't see how he's doing harm and refuses to back down from behaviors that actively annoy people. This is definitely visible in the way his descriptions of various creatures is full of dire warnings as if these were real life and death situations as adverse just a game.
