My initial thought was my heart went out to this guy. He had a tough job, and I have an easier time of it mostly because I'm experiencing it through writing that struggles between expediency and authenticity, but leans heavily toward the expediency side of that scale. Then I realized that one of the death notices he was handed to be delivered is addressed to a place in the city where he would have received the assignment in the first place. And then I know he pretty much dumped the task off as soon as he could.
