Let's Jab = Playthrough + Public Annotations

Do you enjoy Let's Jabs? Do you have a game that you want to see people annotate the heck out of? Then make a Let's Jab of your own!

It's easy. For 3-Dimensional PC Games, I recommend using Fraps to record (you'll have to compress the footage afterward though).

For DOS games, you can play them through DOSbox and record by pressing Ctrl-Alt-F5. Recordings will end up in DOSbox's "Capture" folder. These recordings are compressed enough that if you keep your them under 11 minutes, you can just upload directly to YouTube.

For PC games that don't fall into either those categories, you can record your playthrough using something like CamStudio. If you're using this method on Windows Vista, you might have an issue with a floating circle in the middle of the screen. I don't know how to fix that, as I still just use XP.

For console games, you'll need to use something like a Pinnacle Dazzle or a BlackMagic Design Intensity Pro. Either that, or record from an emulator of that game system.

Note: using an emulator and roms to play games that you didn't already purchase is most certainly illegal. It's doubtful that you'll get caught, but yeah... you should feel bad about it, you criminal.

Then, the only thing to remember is to keep the video under 11 minutes and to include the annotation link in the description once you upload.

It's preferable to put the annotation link at the top of the description so that people don't have to search for it. Also, you might want to include the phrase "Public Annotations" somewhere in the title of your video in case people don't understand what a Let's Jab is.
