Tharsis is a boardgame crisis management simulation that will test you to see if you can get to Mars alive. The problem is.. well you're ship is kind of going haywire. So to get to Tharsis you have to try and figure out a way to keep as many people alive while maintaining your ship.

It's a very delicate balancing act, if you focus on repairing the ship other things may suffer. Running out of food is a very real danger too, so either devote some time in the green house, abuse the captain's ability, or resort to the unthinkable.. Cannibalism is available but it carries penalties, -1 max health and stress don't seem like much but they add up quickly and are really best used as a last resort.

Stress is the other unique mechanic in Tharsis, the higher the stress between turns, the worse the options presented. So managing stress is important so you're not stuck with a choice of eventually killing a crew member for the sake of the ship not blowing up. (Extreme example but certainly in the realm of possibility)
