Once you finally traverse through this place you get to the boss, which mirrors the area before pretty faithfully. Meaning the Shadows of Yharnam are annoying since it's originally a 3 vs you. You can clear this alone by adopting a hit and run strategy, it's just going to take quite a while.

Alternatively summoning help here seems to be a really good idea, as it evens up the odds a bit. Be careful though the Shadow's attacks can still easily kill you in a few hits even with help.
