Earlier this year I recovered some games I made when I was twelve, including Beaver Pelt Man, an ambitious and weird sequel to Dark Castle. Today I’ll spend some time in HyperCard fixing some bugs and making it a bit more playable. Originally streamed December 17, 2023.

HyperCard is a multimedia authoring tool created by Bill Atkinson and released by Apple Computer in 1987. It was incredibly popular, and it was used to create presentations, games, and even catalog physical media. Its uses were as diverse as web sites are today. Like many others, I was inspired by HyperCard, and spent quite a bit of time making games with it.
