History:
Ruin of the Reckless began development in 2014 as the elaborate dream of game designers Charles Webb and Daniel Crockenberg. The idea was simple: a co-op roguelike that was faster-paced and more dangerous with a horizontal zelda inspired progression system that allows players to increase the scope of their abilities rather than just the power of them… and where BOTH players could play as full-blown characters instead of one being a sidekick.
The team successfully raised over $17,000 on Kickstarter for the game on September 20th 2016, and has been rolling out successive beta builds ever since, with the full game releasing on April 26th 2017."
