Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties is the second expansion pack for Age of Empires III. It was released in 2007 for Windows and in the following year for Mac, and follows Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs.

As its name implies, the expansion focuses on Asia. It features three new civilisations: India, China, and Japan. All three Asian civilisations have the ability to build embassies to recruit foreign units, and age up using wonders, structures that grant them certain benefits.

Each of the new civilisations has a five-mission campaign. Japan's campaign takes place during the unification of Japan and the establishment of the Tokugawa Shogunate, China's during a hypothetical 1421 discovery of the Americas by China, and India's campaign during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties was met with positive reviews and represents a bit of a departure from the base game and The WarChiefs, as it moves a away from the conquest and colonisation of the New World.
