Let's Play & Cheese Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Soviet Campaign on Stream Finale
The final mission is all that is left to do for this series.
For the sake of it, I crank the difficulty setting up to HARD (although I don't know it it actually was since the savegame was on easy still)
0:02:23 This is it. First time that I take my time on this (and every other mission) to scout around and see what this map has to offer, and seeing what I can capture once I reach the enemy's side.
Making an MCV, having a full (with Gems) War Miner, 8 Apocalypse Tanks and 12 Engineers, I set foot on enemy shores and head to the right, as it seems to be the easiest to get to. Also because Zofia tells me there's supposed to be an Airfield with some Kirovs there.
Once I set up shop there, I cheese the continuous stream of chroho shifted Grizzly Tanks. Just as I build a Nuclear Missile Silo, the game crashes!
0:48:30 Let's try this again, with slightly less fail, less care and more saving.
I pretty much do the exact same thing starting out, except for the fact that I now know where those Kirovs and that Airfield are, so I send my 2 Kirovs there right away.
After I established my base there, and again cheese those Grizzlies, I happen to see an Allied conyard I can capture, so I saccrifice my Kirovs and some Harriers and capture it. Quickly building an Allied Repair Depot, as I was expecting to lose that 1 Conyard (which I later did) I saw that I could build a Weather Control Device and a Spy Satelite, so for the first time, on my end) I could see the entire map.
In the chat, ppl requested a combo of a Nuke and a Lightning Storm, but I of course wanted to make it slightly more pretty, so in came (eventually) 6 V3's and once everything else, including all Allied Walls was gone, I launched everything and won the mission.
All in all, since this was my first ever single player game that I played through on stream, I had a really good time. I learned some interesting new stuff I never knew about, had a nice talk with the chat and passed 500 followers while doing so.
I am deffinitely looking forward to September 22nd, when I'll be starting my cheese through of Yuri's Revenge
