The game is set in 1989, in a post-apocalyptic alternate-reality Sweden, which has become overrun by killer robot machines. The robots vary in size from small spotting drones, lightly armed scouting bots, all the way up to larger bots that loom over the houses. The player assumes the role of a Swedish teenager who, upon returning from an island excursion, finds that the local population has vanished as the result of the robotic invasion. The player must survive the Swedish wilderness while attempting to determine both the fate of those who used to live there as well as find a way to defeat the machines
