135If there's one thing I can attribute to the problems I've encountered in this playthrough it's that I was repeatedly prevented from completing my second quest at the beginning meaning I lost a lot of chances to get items, followers and of course stat increases. Most importantly there would have been the prestige gain; a couple of quests could have got me much closer to a prestige victory.
The two other things I did wrong was that I became corrupted before finishing a quest that involved a stone circle and not realising that killing Banes when you were corrupted granted no prestige. With the former I'm not sure if I could complete the quest as entering a stone circle would kill my character and as for the latter it makes sense in hindsight; it gets much easier to kill Banes when you have a lot of rot after all.
Armello doesn't always end in victory, for each winner there has to be three losers. Next time we'll pick a different champion, perhaps one whose statistics aren't drastically skewed in one particular direction.
