Asura's Wrath, developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Capcom, is more of a ludicrous anime than it is a game. Even so it remains incredibly entertaining for its dedication to constantly going off the deep end. It takes many of the cores of shounen anime and liberally applies them to a semi-interactive world; namely the archetypal characters, the procession of exponentially more powerful big baddies, and a perpetually furious protagonist who is exactly as powerful as the plot demands at any given moment. The gameplay is mostly comprised of shallow on-rails shooting sections, QTEs, and beat-em-up style combat.
