Let's Play Beastiarium -WHY THE SEWER- Beastiarium Gameplay Walkthrough - Part 1 | First Impressions
Let's Play Beastiarium Gameplay Walkthrough - Beastiarium gameplay plunges you into a mysterious world full of secrets and monsters, its atmosphere will keep you in suspense throughout the game.
The gameplay in Beastiarium takes place in underground Petersburg in the beginning of 20th century, one hundred years later since the monsters invaded the planet. Survivors were forced to move underground and build a "new world". Next generations fully adapted to their new life and never again came to the surface. Underground hideaways were developed into full-fledged cities with complex infrastructure and life-support systems. However, the escape plan wasn't perfect: the underground cities were infiltrated by the monsters again and again, and people had to always be on guard. To control the situation, they established the Guard. But why are people afraid to leave their homes, and who is the true danger here in the world of Beastiarium? Beastiarium is available now on steam!
Beastiarium Gameplay Review:
In my opinion Beastiarium has a lot of ambition but, it's gameplay fails to deliver. While there is definitely a story here beastiarium is simply to short of a game to really flourish. I found myself truly invested in the world of Beastiarium, I was curious about the beasts it held, but to my sadness beastiarium only has a handful of monsters, granted they are very memorable monsters (for the most part). Beastiarium definitely has some good scares in it, but after a while it all seems a bit "formulaic", every problem in beastiarium seemed to have an easy and for the most part obvious solutions, which does not make for good gameplay. My biggest complaint about Beastiarium however is the price tag. Beastiarium will run you at around 20 dollars, which is WAY TO MUCH for a game that can be beaten in about an hour, had Beastiarium only been about 5 dollars I would be praising it for delivering a lot of bang for your buck, but again at 20 dollars Beastiarium just does not deliver in content or in gameplay. In short Beastiarium is a fantastic 5 dollar game, but a really bad 20 dollar game. I do hope the creators of Beastiarium make more gameplay for it though as I did truly find the world they were building in beastiarium to be interesting.
