Let's Play Astroneer! Astroneer Game play is set during a 25th century gold rush. Astroneer gameplay revolves around players must exploring the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives in harsh environments for the chance of striking it rich.
On this adventure, a player’s most useful tool is their ability to shape their world, altering the terrain and extracting valuable resources from planets, and moons. Resources can be traded or crafted into new tools, vehicles, and modules to create everything from massive industrial bases to mobile rover bases.
PERSONAL THOUGHTS ON ASTRONEER:
Astroneer is a very ambitious game but from what I have seen of it so far, is that Astroneer may just have what it takes to actually deliver on it's promises. Astroneer as a whole gives the player a ton of freedom, but the player himself has to stay tethered which I think is a fantastic mechanic. I have yet to figure out in full what Astroneer gameplay can really accomplish, but I would be willing to bet in the future videos we will find a lot of amazing uses for the technology in Astroneer. I look forward to taking this journey with Frank and the rest of you!
All in all I would rate Astroneer with a solid 8 out of 10. This is liable to change in the future though as I have only played a few hours worth of Astroneer up to this point.
