Continuing through the all-time great video games brings us to one of Ubisoft's two classics from 2003. While I'm a huge fan of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, I never played Ubisoft's other great game from that year, Beyond Good & Evil.

We play as Jade, a reporter and photographer who helps to run an orphanage for kids affected by the DomZ war. Of course, the conflict between the DomZ and Alpha Section hits close to home as the DomZ land at Jade's Lighthouse Orphanage which forces her to spring into action to defend the kids.

Beyond Good and Evil was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft in 2003. It was released on PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and Windows with an HD remaster released in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Beyond Good & Evil receive much critical acclaim at release and is considered a cult favourite. However, most of its acclaim came long after release as it won few Game of the Year awards having received fewer nods than Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Call of Duty. Now, it is considered one of the greatest games of all-time, often ranked ahead of its 2003 contemporaries.
