26Well, it's time for another awful, licensed zombie FPS game. Like many other awful licensed tie-in games made solely as a cash grab, Survival Instinct was published by Activision and published by a developer that shut down after it was released. However, like many awful games Survival Instinct has a tiny glimmer of an interesting idea, implementing Oregon Trail travel and supply management mechanics in an FPS game. A little shine to the shit, as it were. I finally decided to delve deeper into this mess and see how bad it gets.
On the first episode of Let's Play The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, we're dropped without much ado into the wilderness, on the trail of a wounded deer. But after a navigation tutorial, zombies show up and things go bad. Then, as Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), we decide to get back on the road and find out why there are zombies, along with our Uncle?Father's friend? who was snacked on by a walker.
