Let's Play Borderlands 2 - Part 153 - The Army of New Pandora Seizes Sanctuary
0Between our last Borderlands 2 adventure and this one, quite a lot happened. There was the discovery of the Atlas Corporation's lost Gortys Project, the capture & interrogation of Athena, the death of Scooter, the return of Handsome Jack (sort of), the destruction of Helios, and a battle against the biggest vault monster ever seen. But all that is a story for another time. Less than a year passes by and our friends have done nothing since even though we have a map of the entire galaxy showing vaults on other planets. The problem is we don't know anything about these planets, Sanctuary isn't capable of space travel, the Crimson Raiders are thinking of disbanding since there are no more threats, the Vault Key is pretty much a coaster at this point, and Lilith isn't up to the task of being a leader. A decision needs to be made now. Unfortunately, Sanctuary is soon attacked by ships dropping off mysterious soldiers who start killing everyone. They unleash some kind of gas that turns the citizens into plant mutants and we find ourselves outmatched. Lilith uses her powers to teleport everyone off Sanctuary while the army's leader claims the Vault Key. This man, Hector, has now reclaimed Sanctuary and plans to spread his deadly mutating plant gas all over Pandora. We find much of the fauna and bandits turned into plant mutants. We come across bandit camp and clear it out and meet their leader Vaughn, former Hyperion accountant turned bandit war chief. We start up the firewalls to get rid of the deadly vines that have sprouted all over the place and everyone arrives to make themselves home while we come up with a plan to take back Sanctuary from Hector and his New Pandora army.
