Let's Play Caves of Qud (P1)
50Caves of Qud is in development by Freehold Entertainment Studios. You can tell there's plenty of polish already, even if it's in beta. Here's a snippet to give you an idea of their vision:
"It's a post-apocalyptic roguelike inspired by worlds like those of Dune, Gamma World, and Gene Wolfe's works. It is an open-world roguelike, heavily inspired by ADOM and Omega, providing a world map that combines static and procedurally generated locations with hand-written quests-lines."
Already I'm getting a lot of good feedback out of this (from the game itself I mean). Nifty and fairly standard controls, excellent use of console-stylized graphics, simple and effective combat mechanics, ginormous variety of selectable stats and skills for endless replays...like I said, good feedback.
