Alone, sipping bottled oxygen with care, Eric Simmons steadily approaches the snowy peak of Chomolonzo. The paths grow narrow, yet Eric can almost see his brother waving from across every crest.

This is not the real ending, but another interpretation of everything Eric has seen along this journey. I thought it might be more powerful if it focused just on Eric's grieving process, which had been stuck firmly in denial throughout the game. The mountaintop is huge and well-populated with ghostly goodness for anyone who wants to get at the official ending.

At one point I comment that Cursed Mountain would make a better book than a game. It later occurred to me that it would also make a solid TV mini-series - kind of like Walking Dead, but just six or eight episodes. I hope the writers have a chance to rework the premise someday.

To keep this relatively spoiler-free, several key events are not shown. That way, there is plenty to see and do if this is your kind of game.
