4We join the Pilgrims of the Dark and start working on their quests. The covenant is easy to max out. You just have to clear all three dark worlds and defeat the Darklurker. You do have to fight many black phantoms along the way though.
Darklurker has a small variety of attacks. It can summon a blade of energy and attempt to melee you. It can throw a swarm of exploding fireballs. It can trace a beam of light in your direction and can summon portals that teleport exploding projectiles.
Partway through the fight, it will split into two Darklurkers giving you two bosses to deal with.
The covenant just gets you various Hex spells for ranking up.
