I'm not trying to be sarcastic, this was smart enemy placement. The turtle knights are usually placed where dodging their unblockable down swing is very difficult.

If that's not an issue then you're probably getting shot at by a greatbow archer at the same time. Not to mention the old school traps, and this place starts getting very fun. (Again not sarcastic)
