Let's play Dead Cells gameplay and review really is all about how you play on PC. We are here to share light on the game in this review. Since the gameplay itself is all done using Linux to record. Even though the Early Access page only supports Windows PC right now. Yet the gameplay you are watching is focuses on our early experience with the game. And quite frankly native support shines here.

So, let's get into some of the details of this let's play gameplay and share our reasoning for the review.
Well first, the gameplay and the mechanics are noticeably fast. Since you can see some of the response times within the review video above. Therefore navigating the Dead Cells levels using the Steam Controller continues to be smooth. And the fact that controller support is a beautifull part of the game. No matter what devices you use, they will likely work in Dead Cells. Thanks to the magic of SDL 2. And yes, even in our let's play the controls are snappy, throughout the review.

Since Dead Cells gameplay is all about features, which I have to admit are easy to pick up. Due to the simplicity of this review. Learning how to play is straight forward. Yet the game does not do any of hand holding. Dead Cells players are expected to brave the dungeons and figure out different aspects on their own. So again, even the skill and perk upgrades are simple enough for this let's play. Meaning that anyone with platformer experience can pick it up. While also means setting perks around your own play style. So if you find a weapon or combination of weapons in Dead Cells, you can opt to increase their bonus for each.

Hence one thing worth discussing from this let's play are the details of Dead Cells. Since we have a variance of games starting for 2 min's up to an hour. With the estimated length of the full game to be somewhere between 10 to 30 hours. Yet I cannot confirm if this number might be for the final release of Dead Cells or not.

Alright, so some details about playing Dead Cells on Linux. The setup is all Windows based of course. So just do the typical Steam install via PlayOnLinux. Then switch out the Wine version to "1.7.53-steam_crossoverhack" and go for it. Just install the game and play. While you rest assured we will see a day one Linux release.
