In this video, you will see me play Dicey Tales (Early Access Release). This game is Roguelite Turn Based Tactics Adventure Strategy RPG with Dice Rolling mechanics. You start out with a single adventurer and then recruit new heroes to join your party along your journey. The game world is procedurally generated for each new expedition. The exploration mechanics is similar to other adventure RPG games of this genre where you pick a node at a fork in the road going from Node to Node eventually leading you to the end. Similar to "Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch", "Deathless: Tales of Old Rus", "Beneath Odesa", "Pairs & Perils", "Shape Hero Factory", "Union of Gnomes", and "Rogue Waters". In this early access version that I played, there are currently only two chapters. At the end of each chapter you fight a Boss before advancing to the next chapter. Each character in your party has a certain amount of action points and a set of skills and moves that you can use based on the Dice of your Heroes. At the start of each turn the Dices are rolled, then you can use the characters action points to mix match the skills and moves that are shown. You can perform special skills if you fill the dice to the corresponding dice slots. Earn coins along your expedition to require new Heroes at the Inn Node or spend them at the Merchant Node. At the end of each battle, you may choose one Hero to level up. Keep in mind this game is Early Access, and there are a few minor dialogues and text typos here and there. Overall though, this game is absolutely fun to play. The combat and dice mechanics are well balanced. The Dice elements in this game reminds me of "Sigilfarer", "Dice & Fold", and "Dice Legends". The Tactics combat reminds me of "Into the Breach", "Metal Slugs Tactics", "Glorious Companions", "Vandal Hearts", and "Final Fantasy Tactics". If you enjoy Turn Based Tactics game, add this game to your Wishlist. I definitely enjoyed playing this game and highly recommend checking it out (there is a demo available).
