Continuing on from the previous part, Mameo shows up to foil MetalEtemon's plan!
While Mameo does scare him off, we still have to defeat Datamon before the antivirus starts working.
Despite my digimon being mega level, I had to rely on ExE cross digivolution in order to defeat Datamon.
With Datamon back to their senses, Mameo takes them back to floatia.
Before heading back to the city, I get a side quest from Fugamon. (I also end up showing some guitar tabs I put together of music from the original Digimon World soundtrack!)
He wants some conductor lemons, but I didn't have enough of them at the time to complete the quest.
Returning to the city, everyone wonders if Mameo is up to no good due to him arriving later than us.
After clearing up that misunderstanding, we get Datamon to help out with the antivirus program.
Everyone also wonders who MetalEtemon is working for.
But putting that aside for now, our next objective is to head to server tower to make sure the enemy doesn't stop the plan.
Following after Himari and Rikka, I eventually make it to server tower.
Before heading inside, I talk to the RedVeedramon and GoldVeedramon outside.
They set some more stat and bond related goals for me to complete, which are pretty much completed right away!
They reward me with a bunch of stat chips, and say to come back tomorrow for more lessons.
With that out of the way, I enter server tower.
Himari calls out for us to stop, but it ends up being too late, as my digimon get caught up in some program that the enemy uses to stop our digimon from moving.
Making things worse, Titamon shows up to destroy the tower so that we can't use it.
He isn't the main villain, but he is very tough.
He wants to destory this world in order to bring about a new world, a new order, as he says! (I guess that's why it's called next order?)
Luckily for us, Luche, of all people, shows up to save the day!
She uses a modified version of the antivirus to get my digimon back in action.
Despite them being back in action, Titamon is too tough for my digimon!
But luckily for me, my digimon cross digivolve after being knocked out.
With my digimon combining powers to become Rosemon BM, I defeat Titamon.
Despite being defeated, Titamon still manages to destroy the tower equipment.
And to make things worse, the enforcer shows up to kill Titamon, and then targets us!
With the tower starting to crumble, we barely make it out in time.
After narrowly avoiding death, we wonder what we could possibly do now that the tower is broken.
Returning to the city, we find out that things are even worse than we thought, with the virus infecting the soil of the digital world!
But in spite of things looking grim, Luche's suggestion of a plan to make the city fly in the air to avoid the virus brings everyone back on track.
As the name of the city suggests, there was originally plans to make the city float.
With all the brains of the group coming together, this crazy plan might just work.
In the mean time, we are tasked with bringing more digimon to the city.
And so with that, chapter 2 ends, and chapter 3 begins.
