Continuing on from the previous part, I take on the final boss again.
Despite nearly defeating the final boss in the previous part, and being better prepared this time, my digimon get knocked out too quickly! (Fail!)
After that fail, I manage to defeat the final boss the second (Third, if you count the previous part!) time around after a long battle.
One interesting thing of note is that my digimon cross digivolved at the end to win the battle, which is odd due to me having already used it on the same day! (I guess it can happen twice in one day if you combine the manual way of doing it, and the random chance of it happening when your digimon get knocked out?)
So with Omegamon Alter-B defeated, Shoma freaks out!
And with Mameo finally showing up, we see that Shoma has been possessed this whole time by the villain of the original digimon world, analogman!
He seemingly fades away after yelling about his plans being ruined again.
With analogman gone, Shoma regains his sanity.
We then all gather together outside to start the reincarnation plan.
This is a very long scene, but I'll try to sum up what happens.
We find out that Shoma came under analogman's influence when he was exploring the singular zone.
He feels guilty for everything that happened, even though it was mostly down to analogman's influence.
Another thing he feels guilty about is cheating to win that tournament that all the main characters were in years ago.
His cheating led to his digimon, Luche, being destroyed and sent to the singular zone.
After he became influenced by analogman, he just so happened to find Luche in the singular zone, and used her for his plan without realising who she was.
He apologises for what he has done, and feels he should be erased for what he did.
But after Luche forgives him, everything turns out okay!
Another plot twist is revealed in the form of Mameo being revealed to be Shoma's homeroom teacher! (Who would have thought the protagonist of the original digimon world would grow up to be a teacher!)
With Shoma having been forgiven, he seeks to learn how to make friends from everyone.
Moving onto the reincarnation plan, the main characters all make a pinky swear to return to the digital world together once the reincarnation plan is finished.
And so as everyone says goodbye for now, we return to the real world, and the credits roll.
We then return to the digital world after the credits.
Everyone meets up together in nigh plains, and we learn that not much time has passed in the real world while everyone was stuck in the digital world. (It also seems the reincarnation plan impacted electrics while it was happening!)
One new thing of note in this scene is that the enforcer, Omegamon Alter-B, has become Shoma's new partner!
So after a bit of a lengthy cutscene, everyone runs off to Jijimon's house.
So with the main story completed, and my plan being to only complete the first post-game side quest before completing this second playthrough, what will happen next? Find out in the next part!
