Continuing on from the previous part, I ramble a lot about Digimon: Survive (I finally got around to playing that game!), get my digimon back to mega level, and fail to clear a colosseum challenge.
I ramble about Digimon: Survive for the first half of the video, and then focus on actually playing the game in the second half of the video! (I still end up talking more about that game while doing that!)
So seeing as I rambled so much about that game, I might as well give some of my thoughts on it here! (I somehow ended up writing a summary of the game!)
When I recorded this part I was at part/chapter 5 in the game. (I'm currently at part 8 as of the time of uploading this part.)
That game feels more like a Digimon anime in visual novel form, but with some strategy turn based RPG section for battles. (Outside of story battles, you can battle and befriend other digimon in free battles.)
So with that said, it is a very story driven game about a group of teens that get transported to a different world filled with monsters! (Kind of sounds like the original anime there!)
I say different world and monsters because the lore in this game is different for some reason! (They always change the lore in these games!)
Despite the title of the game including "Digimon" in it, the digimon are called Kemonogami in this game, and the world itself may or may not be the digital world that we are used to seeing in this series.
Odd change of lore aside, all of the main characters that get transported to this world get their own digimon/kemonogami.
Each character has their own distinct personality, as do their partner digimon/kemonogami.
They all try to figure out what happened, and how they can get back home.
But they face many threats in this world, and they will have to work together to survive in this world! (The way I'm writing about it makes it sound like something that would be on the back cover of the game!)
So all of that aside, I'll finally conclude this drawn out description of that game by saying that the plot gets pretty damn dark in that game! (The writing is also pretty good! I did find part/chapter 6 to be a bit messy with the pacing, though!)
And now with that out of the way, what do I actually accomplish in this part?
Well I train my digimon until they digivolve into mega level.
Red digivolves into Cherubimon, and Blue digivolves into KaiserGreymon.
After they get to mega, I try my luck at that colosseum challenge I previously failed to clear.
And while I do once again fail to clear it, I lost via a time out this time!
The ultimate fail here is that my digimon cross digivolved into Susanoomon after getting knocked out in this battle!
How is that a fail? Well the fail comes down to the time running out before Susanoomon could finish off the last Diaboromon in the battle! (They took down four of the five Diaboromon in this battle, at least!)
So with my digimon still needing more training, and the plan being to train by battling digimon in the dimensional district off screen, what will happen next? Find out in the next part!
