Let's Play Donkey Kong Country 3 103% Part 1
122Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble is one of my favourite games! For many years it marked the conclusion to one of the greatest video game series ever made, until Nintendo decided to revive it a few years ago with Donkey Kong Country Returns. I will always look at the Super Nintendo games a bit differently than any new DKC games that come out though, as to me this series is defined by it's innovative graphics, incredible music, and awesome level design that almost no other game could pull off back in the day. You knew that when you played a Donkey Kong Country game that you were going on an epic adventure, and that it wasn't going to be an easy walk to the end!
In this Let's Play my goal is not only to defeat the final boss, but also find every single Bonus Coin, DK Coin, Banana Bird, and all of the other hidden items in the game. That's what was great about this series, you were never required to collect anything, but if you did go for full completion you were always rewarded greatly in the end! So if you were never a fan of collecting items then be prepared to see some well hidden areas later on in the game.
The story this time is that DK and Diddy went on a short trip to the Northern Kremisphere, although after not returning after a few days Dixie feels the need to go and search for them to ensure that they are alright. Kiddie Kong ends up joining her on her search, and he introduces a whole bunch of new attacks and techniques which were not present in the previous two games. DKC3 also features the Brothers Bears, who will sell and trade items to the Kongs which will be required to reach new areas later in the game.
So overall this is going to be one heck of a playthrough, and I really hope that everyone enjoys it from the beginning to the end! Please feel free to leave any feedback that you have in the comments below.
