The Legend of Zelda Second Quest - Level 1 (RG116)
The original Legend of Zelda for the NES is a super iconic game, although it is also one that unfortunately many people haven't played. In this video I give everyone a crash course in Legend of Zelda history while I play the first level of the game. This isn't the ordinary first level though, as I am actually playing the Second Quest, which was a new version of the game that was unlocked after defeating Ganon for the first time. In the Second quest almost everything is hidden in a new location, and the levels become much more difficult.
You can skip directly to the second quest without finishing off the first quest by entering your name as ZELDA on the file select screen (I wonder how many people accidentally did this because they thought the main character's name was Zelda). After this link should be holding a sword beside your name, indicating that you have done it correctly.
Overall the second quest is quite devious, as it hides items and level entrances where very few people would ever think to look. It isn't uncommon to have to walk through a wall that looks solid, or push random blocks or rocks to find what you are looking for. If you're looking for a challenge you will definitely find it here though, as even someone who has mastered all of the other Zelda games will have a difficult time puzzling their way to the end. And don't be surprised if it takes you a little while to find some of the levels!
Thank you very much for watching. If you have anything that you would like to add about the video or you have a suggestion for another game that you would like to see me play please feel free to leave a comment down below!
