We've beaten Tiki Tong and restored peace to DK Island, but we still have one more thing to do before we can consider the game complete: the Golden Temple, which is basically the ultimate secret level, not only in what is required to unlock it but also in scope...and annoyance, for that matter. I may have underestimated this one as well; it's just as nasty as the K stages or more, but it's also a lot longer than those. Some of my raging at this one made it into the final video, and some of it didn't; had I refrained from cutting anything out, this one would have been twice as long. The level has no autscroll or things chasing you, fortunately, but it does have some dangerous enemies and a lot of tiny platforms, many in motion. The Golden Temple may be shiny and fruity, but it is seriously not worth the trouble to unlock access to it. (Though I'll admit that part of my problems on this one were likely due to having played it after several other levels, one of which was the final boss, resulting in some fatigue.)
