It's...still...2016...in...my...time...zone! (At least, it was when I uploaded the video...)

With the main game finished, it's time to check out some extras. (And realize that I REALLY should have split this into two episodes, considering how much we actually did...but it's too late now, so enjoy one humongous video.) We view the galleries (which are woefully incomplete...), look at some additional gameplay modes (Mirror Mode and a time trial), and show off the various inventory items.

And as you can see at the end, the statistics are back. I don't think I've included those since Copy Kitty. It could be potentially justified in the case of some games by there not being enough things to put in there, but for things like Super Mario Bros. 3, I'm sure I just forgot about it. But I've remembered now.

In any case, though, that's all for Donkey Kong Country Returns. It took us a while (though it wouldn't have if I hadn't had so much hiatus time...), but we are finished with it now, and this was definitely a fun one. I really like this game. The levels are, for the most part, a blast to play through, and the presentation is none too shabby either. I will admit that the bonuses and animal buddies left something to be desired, I still think the secret levels could have been a lot less obnoxious than they were, and yes, the motion controls were clearly shoehorned in (come on, Nintendo, you had a perfectly fine 8-button controller...why the heck didn't you have that as an option?), but Donkey Kong Country Returns is still one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm pleased to be able to share it with you. I will see you in the next project!
